I am supposed to make a christmas stocking block for the next Guild meeting, 9 1/2 square but I am just fresh out of ideas, anybody have a pattern for Christmas stockings, I was looking for maybe a vidtorian shoe or a victorian stocking , If anyone has any good ideas let me know please, I need it to be completed by Dec 12.
Hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving, mine was just perfect, eveything came out the way it was supposed to and on time too!

Fun Stuff

did you know that the safety pin was invented in 1849 by a man named walter Hunt?
it was originaly called a dress pin and was simply made of a piece of wire with a pointed tip and a twist in the middle which created a spring and a clasp that bent around the point, Walter Hunt sold the rights to the invention for a mere $400.00.

* I have been put on this earth to sew and finish a certain number of projects...I am so far behind now I surely will never die!

Crazy week

It's been a crazy week, I'm trying to catch up on all my sewing projects and at the same time get used to my new machine , which is the bernina 440 aurora with the stitch regulator, . And I have to tell you , that is awesome, I don't need the foot pedal, just move the fabric and it goes! When I stop moving the fabric it stops! It even threads the needle for me, just push the lever and it comes down and puts the thread in the eye for you, Amazing! But it takes some getting used too, it's pretty funny because I still push my foot down as if I was pushing down on the foot control, I don't know if I will get used to not using the foot pedal! So I guess it's really not a sewing machine as we all know it but rather it's a sewing computer.
